Beachin' it

More pics from our coastal vacation.  These are for the grandparents.
There was a problem at work, so Daddy spent a LOT of time talking on the phone.  (Ugh.)

It's good to be loved.

Steals me heart...
My 'caught off guard' handsome hubby.

She's so happy here.  Here's the evidence

Off to the BEACH!

We're in Florida - on the beach.  I completely understand any envy that you might be experiencing.  It's simply fabulous here, and I'm trying very hard to convince my husband not to move here, although many of my arguments seem to dissolve once when we are on the beach and our munchkin is squealing with delight.

Life is good.

Cheap Fun

Recently I bought some sort of wiggle sprayer attachment for the garden hose.  I hooked it up after supper last night and it killed a fair amount of time, wore her out and replaced bathtime while Daddy worked late.
She kept saying, "I love you so much, Mommy."
I think that meant she liked it.

Southpaw no more?

Since Gianna was a baby, she has favored her left hand.  She's always eaten with her left hand, drawn and colored with it and reached with it.....until recently.

Interestingly, her pediatrician noticed early on she favored her left hand and I made some comment about her being a lefty.  She told me, "Don't call it until she's three."  She went on to say that both her girls used their left hands exclusively and then when they approached three years old, they both switched to the right hands.

As fascinating as that was, I figured it was a family trait and really didn't think it would apply to my child.  But guess what?????????  Just a couple of months before her third birthday, she's using her right hand.......A LOT.   She's using both still, but it will be interesting to know which hand will be dominant.  As it stands, it looks like she'll be southpaw no more.

Optimism

During a little Easter Party, a thoughtful guest gave all the kids little prizes.  The girls got flower headbands and fairy wings.  Gianna was excited to wear them and kept them on for most of the afternoon.
At one point after I just put her wings on, I heard her grunting as she stood on her tip toes.
"Uh! Uh! Uh!" she said with a frustrated tone.
"Mommy, I just (uh!) can't (uh!) FLY!"

She was certain the wings would allow her to take flight!

So we headed to the trampoline to see if that might help her effort.
"Look Mommy!  I flying!"

And then she gave up on the flying dream....

and settled for another mode of transportation.
