During Easter break, Gianna and I took a little road trip to visit our good friends who live in New Roads. On our way their, we stopped in Baton Rouge to meet them at the wonderful zoo there. A cold front had come through that morning and it the highs were in the upper 50's. In the beautiful sunshine - it was just perfect zoo weather.
Gianna got quite a kick out of this alligator...
....and the fact that he smiled at her and opened one eye.
Gianna said her favorite animals were the flamingos. They really were quite beautiful.
My favorite were the monkeys...
