Okay, I know we in South Louisiana don't have a lot to complain about in terms of frightful winter weather, but it seemed that we had a little more "severe" cold, than we're used to in these parts. Add to that our rains of biblical proportions, and you get a perfect recipe for stir-crazed moms and toddlers chomping at the bit to get out and go somewhere other than Wal-Mart or church.
With the weather warming up to lovely comfortable temps, the parks are teaming with happy children and delighted parents - all seemingly grateful for very simple pleaures....crunchy grass, messy mulch, yummy acorns (yeah, she still thinks she's a squirrel).
Last week, we had an impromtu gathering at one of our neighborhood parks. It was like zoo animals were freed into their natural habitat!

So cute.

Welcome, Spring. We're glad you're here.
